We’re running a short series of interviews about our team members to help you get to know us better. First up is Lyndsay Henderson
- What do you do?
I’m a Virtual Finance Director, this means that I work with small organisations to help them understand their numbers, manage their business growth and strategy and put in place processes and controls to run their business more effectively. I also coach small business owners to give them the confidence to take control of their finances and be their own Finance Director.
2. Why are you a Holy Brook Associate?
I like working with a team of like-minded people who I keep learning from! We come up with some great ideas of how to help our clients do things better and support each other.
3. What do you like most about working/living in and around Reading?
I live just outside Reading and I love how accessible it is to the countryside, London and the rest of the UK. I like how it has more going on than people give it credit for, there are some great places to shop, eat and drink and some great businesses minds!
4. Who or what would be your ideal client or project?
My ideal is a project that I can really get stuck into! I like helping clients and leaving knowing and feeling like their finances and operations working for them better than they were to start with.
5. What are your favourite things to do outside working with Holy Brook?
I’ve just run a half marathon – it was supposed to be the Reading Half but it was cancelled due to snow so I ran an unofficial half a couple of days later. My training mainly comprises me running around after two small boys and a few longer runs. I also do enjoy a bit of knitting and I’m hoping to check out a workshop or two at Jelly, Reading over the next few months.
